About Puja
Pitru Nivaran Puja is a powerful ritual performed to pacify the souls of ancestors and remove the obstacles caused by Pitru Dosha (ancestral affliction). When the souls of forefathers remain unsatisfied due to improper Shraddha, missed rituals, or untimely death, they create hurdles in the family’s progress. Tripindi Shraddha is a special form of Shraddha Karma performed to honor and liberate ancestors of the last three generations who might not have received proper rituals. It is believed that if ancestors remain unsatisfied, they can cause Pitru Dosh and disturb family harmony. Tripindi Shraddha includes offering pind daan, tarpan, and havan with Vedic mantras. This puja is considered very effective when performed at sacred site Tryambakeshwar (Nashik).
About Temple
Tryambakeshwar Teerth Kshetra in Nashik, Maharashtra, is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and a highly revered place for performing Shraddha rituals. The temple is located at the foothills of the Brahmagiri mountain, from where the holy river Godavari originates.
